The Original Gta 5 attained a very high regard for past generations, although the launch of GTA Online took a while to get fully working.

There were some issues with online matchmaking on PS4: servers kicking people and the ‘no’ heists. (These are still not available at this point). But the main campaign story was ‘passable’. It did have some very enjoyable main characters with great voice acting.

Although the game is full of some repetitive sections, such as ‘go here’… ‘shoot this guy’… ‘escape the police’, which can be fun given the circumstance, but loses appeal after the 9th time you complete that type of mission.

Gta 5 PS4 has a unique way of telling the story by focusing on three characters instead of just one. The first character you play is Franklin, who makes a living working for a repossession firm that scams people who buy the cars.

A few missions later Franklin attempts to rob Michael De Santa (AKA Michael Townley) who is a retired mobster that pulled a job on the border with Canada. The third main protagonist is Trevor Philips.

The job (or score as they often refer to it in game) went wrong, ending up with the character, Brad being shot, and Michael faking his death, while Trevor escapes.

Once Franklin steals the car he finds Michael in the backseat, who places a gun against his head; (although there is no explanation of why he is in the backseat). He then makes Franklin drive through the dealer’s main window so he can confront the man that scammed his son earlier.

Later, Michael sees Franklin as a prodigy of sorts; then goes on to take Franklin on a heist at a jewellery store.

When playing you will come across some missions where you can plan out the way you want to do the heist: you could go the loud and dumb way, where there will be less missions but you will face the threat of lower cash takeout.

You can also choose to go for a smarter approach, where you may need to do some more missions but you will receive a higher reward.

You also get the option to employ certain people to join you during the heist. Their experience differs: the higher the experience the higher their cut which in many cases is worth it. No matter what approach you take, the outcome is still the same: Michael gets recognised by Trevor and chaos ensues.

The graphical fidelity is greatly increased by the next gen. counterpart. It also has an extra feature, the long awaited first–person mode, which allows the player to see through the characters eyes.

The remake also improves the wildlife as well as the visuals. The render distance is a lot larger and there will be a full field of grass instead of just a fuzzy piece of earth.

The game also offers some new missions to online as well as a 30 player count per server. The game has all the DLC (downloadable content) available from the get go.

Overall, however, the game hasn’t changed that much from the original version.

I would recommend buying this game if you haven’t bought the game for PS3 or X-box 360. But if you have already purchased one of these, you won’t be seeing anything new.

That doesn’t mean that this is a bad port. The game will be fantastic on whatever system you use: PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, or the upcoming PC port.
